Ecotemis Climate Neutral Program

Our Climate Neutral Program / February 2011

This information sheet explains Ecotemis’s carbon neutral program. Ecotemis put into place a climate neutral program prior to its first soiree in January 2011 in order to reduce our impact on the environment, and to ensure our event was a truly sustainable and carbon neutral affair. We minimised emissions where possible, and chose the organisation ‘WeForest’ and a project located in Madagascar to offset any inevitable emissions. We will now be keeping track of the project’s progression and will post any updates in the E-library and on our news.

By clicking on this link, it will lead you to the WeForest website. WeForest is an international non-profit organization set up by entrepreneur Bill Liao in his efforts to combat global warming in the most natural way possible: by planting trees worldwide. Ecotemis chose this organisation with who to offset their carbon emission created during the planning and execution of our first soiree in January 2011. WeForest promote sustainable forestry, which plays a vital role in ensuring the stability of our planet. Trees support ecosystems, maintain the integrity of our soil and habitats, and provide food, employment, and shelter for local people.
